Mike McCurry advises us on the SFA's Whistleblower wesbite that he wasn't sure if Noel Hunt was fouled by David Weir, but he didn't seek advice from his assistant.
He then tells us he was sure the ball last played off David Weir for the "offside goal' but his assistant thought otherwise. He took his assistant's word on the latter.
Should he not have sought advice for the penalty incident, where he was unsure, and ignored the offside advice when he was sure of his decision?
Both explanations of his decisions do not tell us why there is such inconsistency in Mr McCurry's rationale.

SRU spending: time for
an independent audit
Clearly, the SRU chief executive would seek to demonstrate progress in addressing the governing body's considerable financial problems.
Nevertheless, it is just too simplistic by half to assume from recent reports that a momentary "low" in SRU bank borrowing, more than likely achieved by temporarily massaging settlement of the extensive range of the organisation's other debts (including redeemable debenture loan stock), provides anything like an accurate overall financial picture.
The most reliable indication of the SRU's financial position (and indeed fiscal stability) as a going concern would be obtained from an independently audited conventional statement of affairs, taking account of all assets and liabilities.
Even then, it would be important to assess the true extent of the Union's commitment to fund the constantly escalating costs of the two pro-teams going forward, to the detriment of our threadbare grassroots club and school rugby hinterland.

Where is the mandate?
Can anyone out there please explain: upon precisely what campaign ticket, or soft-focus platform of success, that underachieving SRU double-act - president George Jack and chairman Allan Munro - are offering themselves for
re-election to further terms in office?
