Steven Fletcher, the Hibernian striker, insists he will not risk aggravating his ankle injury for a second time on Saturday against Motherwell if he does not feel fully fit.
The Scotland forward's joint flared up after last weekend's draw with Aberdeen and he was forced to withdraw from the squad for last night's friendly against Diego Maradona's Argentina.
Such is the 21-year-old's importance to the side, Mixu Paatelainen, the Hibernian manager, gave the player the freedom to make the call on his availability for the Aberdeen game and will do the same at the weekend.
However, Fletcher said: "At the moment I am probably about 50/50 for the weekend but it is up to me how I feel. I will see how I feel but I don't want to do any long-term damage."
