Arbroath aim to spring shock

BILL MARWICK

John McGlashan, the Arbroath manager, is aware of Stranraer's sense of injustice ahead of the first leg of the play-off at Gayfield.

Stranraer finished 13 points ahead of third-placed Arbroath, but McGlashan hopes to cause a shock against a side aggrieved at being in the play-offs.

"Stranraer deserve to be in the final as they have been great all season," said McGlashan.

" Their players will be out to prove a point and we will have to make sure it is not easy for them to dictate things."

McGlashan will stick with the same squad that won their semi-final at Cowdenbeath, with match-winner Robbie Raeside again deputising for the banned Alan Rattray.

"Robbie will play again on Wednesday if we can get him off the cloud he has put himself on after scoring the winner," said the manager. "Even if Alan was available it would have been a difficult call to leave Robbie out."
