Kirk Broadfoot insisted Walter Smith has proved his critics wrong after guiding Rangers into the UEFA Cup final.
The Ibrox side have been slated for their defensive style of play, with Lionel Messi accusing Rangers of playing "anti-football" against Barcelona in the Champions League earlier this season, while Adrian Mutu branded the semi-final first leg in Glasgow an "ugly game of football".
However, the quest for four trophies continues and Broadfoot said: "A year-and-a-half ago this club was in turmoil - now we are fighting on four fronts. The management team put in a lot of work. The manager's tactics are always right, even though the fans sometimes don't agree with them. Results don't lie.
"It's not quite sunk in yet that we are in a European final," Broadfoot continued.
"I don't think myself and some of the other players realised just how big this is. But when you see Ally McCoist crying at the end it hits home that this is massive.
"To make it to a European final in my first year at Rangers is just unbelievable and I probably won't make another one if I'm being honest. So I'm just cherishing every moment."
Asked whether Rangers can now overcome a strong Zenit side, who crushed Bayern Munich 5-1 on aggregate in the other semi, Broadfoot said: "It's going to be very difficult but why not? Everybody wrote us off in previous games so why not go down there and show everyone that we are a good side by lifting the cup?
"We have a strong backbone with David Weir and Carlos Cuellar at the back, Kevin Thomson and Barry Ferguson in a strong midfield and Jean-Claude Darcheville up front.
"You've got to give credit to Carlos and Davie for the way they defended last night because that breeds confidence throughout the whole team. We have a will to win and we never know when we are beaten."
As for the quadruple, the full-back said: "I don't see why not. I believe that we can win the SPL and the Scottish Cup. The UEFA Cup is a big, big ask but we are still in it and we will do our best, so why not?"
