Croydon Harriers' young athletes were tasting success again on Saturday as the club held a party to celebrate the youngsters' best-ever season in the McDonald's League and other competitions.

The young Harriers have never been strangers to success and, after a season of spectacular results that earned them a place among the UK's top five clubs, they celebrated in style with a prize-giving party at the Whitgift Centre's McDonald's restaurant.

Club members, parents and supporters were all at the restaurant to hear club president, Don Webb congratulate the juniors and bid goodbye and good luck to retiring Under17's captain Leroy Slue and Under 15's captain Andrew Jenner.

"It has been our best season ever," said the Harriers' club secretary, Mike Fleet. "We were runners up in the Southern Premier and we've achieved a record number of club points at the cup final in Birmingham. Our members have worked so hard and I think they really deserved this celebration."
