STAFF at Orpington's Sainsbury's branch are supporting Bromley Cassette, an organisation which produces talking newspapers for the deaf. Each year it costs £6,000 to put copies of the News Shopper, Kentish Times and Bromley Leader onto tape and keep people informed about the community. Sainsbury's staff are making Bromley Cassette their `One Penny a Bag' charity throughout May and June.

BROMLEY businessmen heard Mark Joint, senior economist at Barclays Bank, outline the national economy and its effect on the south-east, at the Civic Centre last week. CRAY Valley Communications Ltd has opened its new head office at the rear of Queensway in Petts Wood. It encompasses the sales office, installation office and stores. There is also a trade counter to deal with enquiries and sales.
