Police have not yet found the a bogus health visitor who tried to take a baby away from a Borehamwood mother last week.
Detective Chief Inspector Sultan Taylor of Barnet and Hertsmere CID said enquiries were ongoing, but so far the investigation had borne no fruit.
On Tuesday December 30 a woman called at a house in Aycliffe Road and told a mother she had to take her baby to a health centre for jabs. The mother became suspicious and called police.
She is described as white, 35, 5ft 5ins tall, of proportionate build with collar-length hair. She was wearing a navy blue denim dress, a half-length coat in the same colour, and square-framed glasses.
