GENEROUS drinkers at The Swan pub, in Lee High Road, Lewisham, raised £1,239 in aid of the Guide Dog Association.
Landlords Mark and Bev Bowes, who have a blind friend and are long-time supporters of the association, held a race night and collection to boost their charity kitty.
It costs about £3,000 to train and care for a guide dog, and the association relies solely on charitable donations to fund its good work.
Mark and Bev were presented with a photo of a guide dog in training by association representative David Steward, and his guide dog, Glint, in recognition of their fund-raising efforts.
