A WOMANS dream of climbing misty Himalayan Mountains will come true when she treks for six days raising money for charity.

Sarah Barrow, 26, from, Charlton, thought her hike for deaf, blind and rubella charity Sense would be a well deserved holiday.

It was only when the special needs teacher began her strict fitness and fund-raising regime for her trek next March, she realised it was hard work.

Sarah Barrow said: Organising to do this trek, has personally cost me a lot in time and money. I thought it would be a great holiday because Ive always wanted to go to Nepal but once the pile of work started, I realised it was not going to be a holiday at all.

But its worth it because Ill be raising money for a charity I fully support.

The 8,000m trek, involves six days hiking for up to 25km along trails more than 4,000m above ground level. The three groups of 19 fundraisers will spend 12 days in Nepal, most must complete the trek to meet their £2,000 pledge to Sense.

Miss Barrow said: Im really excited about the trip. Raising the money through disco nights and boot sales has been fun.
