PARENTS received a wealth of information about substance abuse at a drugs awareness evening.
Former drug addict Alan Pyne and Dawn Apcar from the Open Access and Outreach Service gave talks at the information evening which was held at King's Farm Junior School, in Cedar Avenue, Gravesend.
Youth crime prevention officer Anne-Marie McAteer said the evening was “very successful and informative”.
She added: “Parents learned about the symptoms of drug abuse and what help is available for anyone wanting to overcome drug problems.
“I would also like to thank Les Uden, chairman of the King's Farm residents' association for all work he put into organising the event.”
Anyone concerned their children may be taking drugs, can call Miss McAteer on 01474 331055.
