CHARITY RIDE: Still Game stars Ford Kiernan and Sanjeev Kohli got on their bikes yesterday to encourage people to sign up for a charity cycle.

The comedy duo joined nurses Wendy Burns and Wendy Porteous in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow, to promote the cancer caring centre Maggie's Monster Bike and Hike 2008. Participants complete a 30-mile cycle and then choose to hike eight, 22 or 43 miles.

Kiernan said: "The support that Maggie Centres offer to people affected by cancer is invaluable and it is all free of charge. I would encourage anyone who can cycle - there's still time to learn - to sign up for what is Maggie's biggest fundraising event of the year."

Kohli added: "This is an event that is not just a personal challenge, it is also a big adventure." The event takes place on May 3 and 4 and participants will travel along the Great Glen Way to Inverness.
