Pictures taken at Drums Links, Aberdeenshire - the northern end
of the land acquired by American business tycoon Donald Trump
for his commercial developments.
An article in The Herald on 11th June 2008 featuring a quote
from Trump about the land, angered Herald reader Frances Leiper
to the extent she felt obliged to put forward the alternate case.
Trump's quote in our 11th June article read:
'The site is a mess; a total mess,
there is garbage all over it and we want it to be nice.
People sneak on to the site and dump things.'
Frances is adamant that Trump's comment
was a misrepresentation of the area.
Frances said: "People who don't know the area will think it is just waste ground
whereas in fact it is a beautiful area of farmland,
dune systems and an amazing beach to top it off.
"It would be such a waste to destroy a unique part of the Scottish coast for yet another housing development and golf course."
