Scots celebrities from the worlds of drama, writing, broadcasting and sport were on hand to make last night's presentations.
Shabana Bakhsh, who presented the Best Scot at Westminster award, shot to fame thanks to her role in Ken Loach's award-winning film Ae Fond Kiss. She has also appeared in River City and Doctors and has most recently appeared in the BBC drama series Waterloo Road.
Another actress, Blythe Duff, who is best known for her long-running role as Detective Jackie Reid in Taggart, presented the Public Campaign of the Year award.
Scotland rugby player Dan Parks presented the International Scot award, while the athlete Lee McConnell, who won a silver medal in the 400 metres at the Commonwealth Games in 2002, handed over the One To Watch award.
William McIlvanney, the novelist and poet, presented the Donald Dewar Debater of the Year award, while Derek Casey, the director of Glasgow's successful bid to host the 2014 Commonwealth games, presented the Free Spirit of the Year prize.
Bryan Donaghey of Diageo, one of the event's sponsors, presented the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Charles McGhee, editor of The Herald, presented the Scottish Politician of the Year award and the event was hosted by Michael Crow, political editor of STV.
