Chingford Town...............7

Leyton Paragons.............1

(London Intermediate League)

AFTER losing their first game 16-0 last season, Chingford Town have transformed into a goal-machine themselves.

They gave Leyton Paragons a severe drubbing on Saturday with the goals coming from Rodney McClean, who netted four times, and Kwarme Jones, who bagged a hat-trick.

It was in the second half that Chingford went goal-crazy, having led by just a single goal at the break.

They even had to contend with losing their goalkeeper, Kevin Haines, after he was crocked making a brave challenge in the 35th minute.

Ryan Stoker came off the bench to replace him and kept a clean sheet, adding to the Chingford joy.

New signings Danny Honeyball, Trevor Cramer, Gary Pegrum and Chris Longhurst all made valuable contributions to prove that Town are definitely back on the map.

Spokesman Kevin Ryan said: "We were superb on Saturday. We lost 2-1 last week but have come back this week to score seven goals and shout to the other clubs in this league that we are no pushovers. It was a brilliant display."
