With summer just round the corner, we've teamed up with Courtney's to bring you a fantastic competition aimed at getting you in shape for those balmy days on the beach.
You could win a full year's membership to the Courtney's Fitness For Life centre in Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon.
And even if you're not lucky enough to win the first prize, Courtney's is giving away Two Weeks of Free Fitness packages for 20 runners up.
We're running this promotion to celebrate the Courtney's roadshow which is taking place at the Whitgift Centre on Fridat (May 8). You can go along to see plenty of action including workout performances on stage and fitness challenges using top-of-the-range fitness equipment from Life Fitness and Atmospheric. Courtney's is running the roadshow in conjunction with British Airways, which is promoting its recently-launched non-stop daily route to Denver, Colorado, a natural fitness centre in itself.
Staff will be giving away British Airways flights as well as summer fitness tips at Friday's roadshow.
But by entering this competition, exclusive to the Croydon Guardian, you could end up winning a full year's use of the superb facilities that the Courtney's Fitness for Life centre offers. The fully air-conditioned club, which opened last July, includes an impressive 172-piece gym full of cardiovascular and resistance equipment and a range of other facilities.
If you win one of the Two Weeks of Free Fitness packages, you'll be entitled to unlimited use of all facilities at any of the Courtney's Fitness For Life centres for a period of two consecutive weeks.
It couldn't be easier to enter this fabulous competition. All you have to do is answer the following question and send it on a postcard to: Courtney's/Croydon Guardian Competition, Guardian House, Sandiford Road, Sutton, Surrey SM3 9RN. Closing date: May 18, 1998
The question is: What are the Courtney's centres called?
Answer: (a) Fitness for Life (b) Fitness For Ever
Normal Guardian competition rules apply. Promotion open to all readers excluding current Courtney's members up to and including May 18, 1998.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
