Slade Green Sportsman FC made up for disappointments last year by clinching a place in the Kent Junior Cup final.
The team, based at the private members club, were just four games away from reaching Wembley in the Carlsberg Cup last year but went out to a team from Brighton.
On Sunday April 5 they made the trip down to Maidstone to take on Vinters Green in the semi-final of the Kent cup. The Sportsman side went 2-0 up by half time thanks to goals from Trevor Heselden.
However, Green pulled one back midway through the second half. "They peppered our goal towards the end," said Sportsman manager Mark Salter.
The final will be played on April 26 at a venue to be announced. Call Mr Salter on 01322 349018 for more details and offer the lads some support.
