Saturday's clash at Meadow Park looks like a home banker as Bishop's Stortford arrive in something of a crisis, having recently moved out of their Rhodes Avenue home to ground share at St Albans.

However, last week they went down 0-1 to Kingstonian at Ware, and are currently placed 17th -- two points above a relegation slot.

Wood will note though, that one of the Bishops' two away wins this season was at Sutton in August, shortly after they scored a 3-1 home win over Makin's men.

Next Tuesday evening Wood continue their defence of the Guardian Insurance League Cup as they entertain Canvey Island in the quarter finals, kick off 7.30.

The Gulls presently lead the second division, scoring 64 goals in 22 games, including five last Saturday against Bracknell, and they have beaten Premier Division sides Harrow, Hendon and Hitchin to get this far in the competition.

Defender Barry Fox, who left Wood last season to join Stortford, has been training recently at Meadow Park with a view to a move back to the club he originally joined in 1993.
