A hat-trick from Karl Ward helped the under 16s extend their unbeaten league run to seven games with a 5-0 win over Cassiobury Rangers. The other goals came from Michael Cattermole and Darren O'Toole, but praise must go to Matthew Kennedy, Tyrone Phipps, Karl Ward and Darren Ward for the best defensive record in the division.

There were plenty of goals to savour as the under-13s scored an important 6-3 away victory over Comet Cobras, with a brace apiece for Jonathan Wills and Hakim Medfai, one from Paul Heale and the goal of the match from Dhiren Valydon.

The under-11 Blues have rattled up eight goals in their last two outings, following on their 4-0 victory over Harvesters South with a 4-1 away win against Harpenden Piranhas.

A delightful lob by Jack Greaney separated the teams at half-time, and when Sahib Phull's excellent free kick hit the back of the net in the second half, the Blues thought they had the match sewn up. But the never-say-die Harpenden side kept the pressure on and managed to get a goal back. Sandy Jalali made sure of the win with a precision shot and Daniel Neville got the fourth.

The under-10 Ambers went out of the League Cup at the quarter-final stage, after losing 3-0 to Northwood.

But the under-10 Blues kept their good form going with a 2-0 win over Oakhill Tigers, with keeper Martin Smith winning man-of-the-match.

The under-9s went down to their first league defeat of the season, losing 1-0 to Chipperfield. Colney failed to create any really clear-cut chances and, in spite of some good defending and a fine display from keeper Kevin Cahill, they let their opponents bag all three points with a single goal.
