The headteacher of Borehamwood's Kenilworth Primary School has said she is proud of pupils and staff, following a recent OFSTED inspection.
OFSTED reported, following an inspection from June 4 to 7, that the school was "effective" and "in a strong position to move forward".
It said the the quality of teaching was "good overall", and teachers had a positive impact on pupils' achievements. Support staff were judged as a valuable asset to the Kenilworth Drive school.
The pupils had good attitudes to school, and parents were supportive, according to the report.
Since the last OFSTED inspection in 1997, it was decided that the school had made satisfactory progress, with standards of attainment being "broadly in line with national averages".
The recently-opened early years unit was judged as one of the school's main strengths, with good teaching and a "caring, friendly and happy atmosphere".
Headteacher Rosie Landa said: "I feel very proud of the children and staff, who have been given the credit and praise they truly deserve.
"I also thank the Governors for their support."
