COUNCILLORS from Chinnor showed residents and students the right path to take on the village playing fields.
Lyn Mumford, chairman of Chinnor Parish Council, was on hand to open the village's Millennium path last Saturday.
Mrs Mumford said: "It was a nice day to open it. Most of the councillors were there and it was a lovely morning."
She added the council had helped create the path to help parents and children get across the playing fields when on their way to and from school, as well as a pedestrian way connecting up parts of the village.
Mrs Mumford said: "It started as a consequence of the Better Ways to School group wanting a path so the children could have a proper path to walk and cycle around the playing fields."
The path connects Station Road and St Andrew's Infant School, with residential streets, Willow Road, Cherry Tree Road and Rainal Drive.
Mrs Mumford added: "It's been well received. People walk their dogs round it, though they shouldn't but at least there is a path for them."
