FIREFIGHTERS from Watford Fire Station were called out to three separate incidents of cars on fire on Saturday, December 22.
The first was a dumped car Coln Bridge Retail Park, off Lower high Street, Watford, found alight at 5.50pm.
The second was a stolen car which had been set alight at disused railway tracks by Tolpits Lane. Ford Fiesta Firefighters were called at about 7pm and found the vehicle had been turned over on its roof. Police are investigating the incident.
The third incident was a dumped car which was set on fire in Brooklyn Avenue, Watford, at 10.25pm.
Sub Officer Eric Muncer expressed concern at the frequency of car fire fires in recent months and said the perpetrators were a danger to the public and a danger to themselves.
