TIME TO CHAT: Mayor of Greenwich Councillor Terry Malone meets Carmen Cummings at a new African-Caribbean day centre opened to cater for the needs of the older Afro-Caribbean citizens of Greenwich. The Elford Close centre, which was opened by Cllr Malone, offers services such as chiropody, district nurses, optical services and health and benefit advice. The centre is open from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday and is tailored to meet the needs of clients over 65 who have a disability which has affected their daily living. Executive member for health and social care Councillor David Grant said: “This is an excellent new service for older Afro-Caribbean citizens of our borough”
