I AM writing in answer to Mrs Thompsons sad letter about her daughter (News Shopper, January 3).
Does she think disabled people are on an 8pm curfew?
If she can afford to buy, tax, run and insure a car, and go out for meals, she cant be penniless can she?
A lot of disabled people cant afford nights out and often have to live on benefits.
I presume this young woman is working so is a lot better off than us.
Life is tough enough for us without the abuse of our parking bays by ignorant and selfish people like Mrs Thompsons daughter. The fine should be £60 not £20.
She is probably the sort of person who parks so close to the rear of a disabled persons car, despite a notice on the rear window, that this makes it impossible to get a wheelchair in.
I would like to shake the hand of the parking attendant who gave her and her friend a ticket. What a pity wheel-clamping isnt in operation for this offence.
