Nobody can be in any doubt that Scotland needs to step up speed on its green journey.
How we heat our homes plays a huge part in this as we look to more environmentally friendly options.
But is the public armed with enough information to make properly informed choices? How much will it cost? How do we get started? What help is available? Is it worth the upheaval?
How can we all, as a nation, properly buy in to the need to transition to green energy if question marks remain over all that it entails?
At The Herald, we do not believe Scots have all the details. And so, we are cutting out the political discourse, the arguments and debates, to give you, our valued readers, everything there is to know about using the main alternative heating source which has widely hit the headlines in recent years.
Heat Pumps: Myths, Truths and Costs is our latest investigative series, launching next week, and I am excited to be able to bring it to you.
We know from our own data, live and historical, that our readers are incredibly engaged when it comes to green energy. But we also know they have a lot of questions, particularly about how much installation will cost them (and will it be worth it).
Next week we aim to answer these questions, and so many more.
The series is led by reporter Vicky Allan who has spoken to Scots all over the country to gain a full picture about the realities of life with a heat pump.
Our series is informative, consumer focused and designed to cut through the noise.
Read more about the series here and join us next week for Heat Pumps: Myths, Truths and Costs.
