Jewellery once belonging to Hollywood actress Deborah Kerr will go on sale in London tomorrow.

Kerr, who died in October last year after suffering from Parkinson's disease, starred in more than 50 films over four decades, including From Here to Eternity and The King And I.

Items to be sold by Bonham's include those she owned at the height of her fame in the 1940s and 1950s, such as a triple-stone diamond engagement ring from her first husband, Squadron Leader Anthony Charles Bartley.

The yellow-tinted, brilliant-cut diamonds weigh 2.32, 2.98 and 2.17 carats respectively and the ring is expected to fetch up to £25,000.

A mid-19th century gold and turquoise chain that Kerr often wore on her wrist is estimated at up to £2500.

A collar necklace is estimated at up to £2000 and another highlight is a cultured pearl, emerald and diamond bracelet, which could go for £6000. The collection has been sitting in a bank vault and is being sold on behalf of her family.
