IT'S a promise from one of the club's very own legends, Mark Hateley: "You don't have to go to Manchester."
With upwards of 100,000 making the journey to the English city, fans left behind in Glasgow have been assured an unforgettable night as Rangers lay on a party for 25,000 stay-at-home supporters.
It had initially been suggested that big screens would be erected in Glasgow's George Square but it was decided after talks between Rangers and Glasgow City Council that Ibrox should be the focus of Glasgow's celebrations.
But between the pair they have arranged that, win or lose, the Rangers players will parade through parts of the south side of Glasgow on Friday, being either congratulated or commiserated from Springfield Quay and along Paisley Road West to Ibrox.
The gates of the stadium will be thrown open at 6pm with admission free on a first-come, first-served basis.
The game is being shown on what the club claims is the world's biggest mobile screen, 100 square metres, with Rangers' biggest game in 36 years previewed by player messages and a "Road to Manchester" programme.
All those in the stadium will receive a commemorative programme.
Free buses from Buchanan Bus Station to Ibrox will leave at regular intervals between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. The journey is expected to take 20 minutes. Supporters will be dropped off at Edmiston Drive, near Ibrox, with seats also available on a first-come-first-served basis.
At the end of the match, the buses will depart from Edmiston Drive at regular intervals between 9.45pm and 11pm.
