Police investigating the murder of 18-year-old Andrew Devlin in Paisley have recovered a stolen Peugeot 307 estate vehicle in the Renfrew area.
It is believed to be the same vehicle that was seen leaving the scene of the shooting in Stock Street around 10.20pm last Friday.
Mr Devlin, 18, a TV installer, was shot at close range as he left a 21st birthday party in Susi Q's Snooker Club to have a cigarette.
Bystanders tried to help Mr Devlin, of Dormanside Place, Pollok, Glasgow, but he died later in Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital.
A 26-year-old man was seriously injured in the same incident and is being treated in the same hospital. Staff have described his condition as serious.
Detective Superintendent Bob Law said: "Our enquiries revealed that a silver estate car had been driven along Stock Street towards Neilston Road in Paisley shortly after the shooting on Friday night.
"On Sunday we recovered a silver Peugeot 307 estate vehicle, partially burned in Ness Road, Renfrew, within the car park of Kirklandneuk Community Centre."
He said the car had been stolen from commercial premises in Balmore Road, Glasgow, on January 22 this year and had the registration number KS55 FFA.
"The vehicle has been taken away for forensic examination, but we are still keen to speak to anyone who has any knowledge of this car," he added.
"Does anyone recognise this registration number?"
