Boy killed in mini-bike crash named

A boy who died after his mini-motorbike crashed with a car was tonight named as Wayne Shaw.

Central Scotland Police said the 13-year-old was from Sauchie, near Alloa in Clackmannanshire.

Wayne suffered fatal injuries in the crash on Gartmorn Road, Sauchie, at 5.20pm on Friday.

He was riding an unregistered Midi Moto motorcycle when he collided with a silver Vauxhall Astra.

The 60-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.

The road was closed for about three and a half hours after the accident while police carried out investigations.

Police appealed for witnesses to contact force headquarters in Stirling.

It's a bit unfortunate that the child was killed but let's hope that this will act as a warning to the cretinously stupid parents who allow their children to ride these motor cycles on public roads. I hope the driver's car isn't too badly damaged.
