Marine conservationists are calling on the public to help protect places such as Bass Rock, which has the largest single colony of gannets in the world.
The habitat, off the coast of Dunbar, is home to around 50,000 pairs of gannets, and the Scottish Seabird Centre is calling on people to keep the area "precious" by being more environmentally aware.
Maggie Sheddan, a guide with the SSC, said: "We can do our own bit by not dumping rubbish into the sea."
