So, Mohammed ElBaradei, the chairman of the International Atomic Energy Agency, has told the world that Iran is at least five years away from building a bomb, probably more. This is a man who has had inspectors at all Iranian nuclear facilities, and is probably very well informed. He was informed enough to say that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction or nuclear program to note, and was villified for it by all imperialist nations ready to destroy Iraq and plunder its wealth. They are not opening up their facilities to the IAEA, or playing by the same rules they are trying to get the US to force on Iran. And they are actively involved in population cleansing in Gaza. If the US is to take the "high and mighty" International enforcement role they so want their news agencies to spin their most recent invasion as, they should look to their own backyard and allies first, and not be so quick to reach for the trigger. There is more going on here than we can hope to understand right now. The US has destroyed their economy, conned other countries in to buying up very risky mortgage debt, lost their international financial credibility and needs more war in the world so they can sell more weapons to keep the rich astronomically rich. No Good Deed Goes Unpunished... Most Americans have worked very hard to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. We are afraid of saying or doing anything to upset the government. Reprecussions for trying to do the right thing would range from having the Israeli Revenue Service (IRS) hound you and take everything for some bogus tax law to having the local police stop you for a tail light out everytime you leave your property. Somehow, the government of, for and by the people has become tyrannical and oppressive. It didn't happen overnight and we keep voting the same people back in. I believe that if George Washington were president now, we would be in Iran helping them to construct nuclear reactors to produce their energy for their power needs. Remember, there are two kinds of reactors, ones that make heat for steam and breeders. The breeders are the ones that make plutonium or create the unstable uranium for nuclear reaction bombs. The others will make fissionable material, but about all you can do is make a "dirty" bomb with it. We could be over there creating jobs for Americans instead of enemies. When our government goes to war with Iran, True Americans should take up arms and march on Washington, DC and clean house. I'm sure a million or more of US could get the job done.

I believe the "US gooferment" is berift of reality enough to attack Iran, to gain the benefit, if nothing else, of enjoyng the practical equivalent of Marshall law inside the US. Bombing "nuclear facilities" presumably can be interpreted to mean bombing one or more nuclear reactors, thus spreading highly radioactive material over a very wide area. Everything within that area inevitably would be poisoned for a very long period of time. What other label can be attached to such an act other than a crime against humanity and the environment.

It's too bad the American population does not have the means to elect Bush OUT OF OFFICE. This is so hypicritical, and typical of US mind frame. My question for the world and the US, is when do we, as citizens of countries who are a member of the NNPT, get to see the councils report on American Nuclear programs, and the exact count of the US's inventory and Location of every WMD. Lets not even bring in Isreal to the question, because I'm not sure that Isreal has ever complied with any NATO or NNPT sanctions or terms.
