Croydon-based technology company, Mortgage Brain Limited (MBL) showed major players from the mortgage industry the route to golfing success.

Mike and Anne Green from MBL on St James's Road, Croydon, formed the ultimate partnership during the Legal Marketing Services (LMS) Golf Challenge Cup at the Forest of Arden Country Club.

The couple played against 24 competitors who represented the main high street lenders from all over the country.

The event was played on the 18-hole Championship Arden Course which has been home to the English Open for the last seven years. The competition was very close with many entrants aiming to take the trophy home.

Mike and Anne finished on the final hole just one shot ahead of their nearest rivals Stuart Gash and Len Wakeham from Abbey National.

Marketing director Andrew Knee of LMS presented an engraved Chester Jug to Mike and Anne at MBL's office in Croydon.

After being presented with the trophy Mike said, “MBL has been providing the latest technology to the mortgage industry for years, it seems that we may have to extend our services to include golf tuition for the high street lenders.”

Mike and Anne will also have the opportunity to defend their title at this years Challenge Cup in September, in what promises to be a close contest at the famous Warwickshire course.
