I have been reading your articles on the brick works in Woodside with great interest.
I was born in Dickenson's Place in 1945 and when I married I moved to Sonning Road.
The lido Mr Barber mentions was actually a disused swimming pool in Mr Handley's garden.
Situated near where Thomas Becket School is now. I used to collect frogs and newts from there and bring them home (which really pleased my mother).
