A minicab driver had a double-barrelled shotgun held against his throat after asking his passengers for money for the fare.

As the driver pulled up outside 329 Lodge Lane in New Addington at 10.45pm on Wednesday last week, one of the three passengers - all black - pulled out the shotgun and began demanding money.

After taking £30, the three 18-year-olds disconnected the two-way radio and made off between the two tower blocks that lead towards Dunsfold Way.

Anyone with information of the incident should contact PC Steve Kidd at South Norwood Robbery Squad.

He can be reached by calling 0181 768 1212.
