A 50-year-old man was kicked and punched to the floor by a gang of four teenage thieves during a vicious attack on Monday evening.

The victim was attacked as he got out of his car in Pollards Hill, Norbury, at 8.20pm. A youth, described as white, about 17-years-old, 5ft 8ins and with short hair grabbed the man's hands and told him not to move because "he had a gun". One of the other suspects hit him over the head and tied a scarf around his neck before all the attackers started punching and kicking him.

During the attack the thieves grabbed a suit-carrier containing clothes. Three of the suspects ran off towards Briar Road and the other fled towards Pollards Hill.

The victim was left with cuts and bruises but was not seriously hurt.
