Business is on the up in south west London, according to major overnight delivery operator Amtrak Express Parcels.
The number of consignments carried by the company has jumped by 35 per cent over the past year.
Amtrak's local depot joint franchise holder John Moore said parcel movements were a barometer of the local economy and business was certainly on the increase in the area.
Amtrak recently won the coveted Company of the Year 1998 award from the Institute of Transport management for its "commitment to customer service excellence".
