THE Greyhounds burst from the starting gate with a stunning victory in the English Hockey League division one.
New signing Victor Somfalenanu was in brilliant form, scoring four goals on his debut, with further strikes from Gary Dodds and Nicky Braithwaite completing the seven-goal rout.
David Loudfoot, the team manager, said: "We performed so well. Victor was excellent and has now settled into our style of play nicely. This is exactly what I wanted and now the fans can sit back and watch us go.
"We can win this league with performances like this but we must find consistency."
David Robb, the team coach, said: " It's hard to win at Gosport because the rink is so small. Great credit is due to the team for playing a controlled game
