Hampton Ferry in Thames Street, opposite The Bell Inn, will be hosting Swan Sunday this weekend.

All ferry fares taken between 10am and 6pm on Sunday will be donated to Swan Lifeline, the charity which, with Hampton Swan Rescue, cares for the Hampton flock of 140 swans.

Last year's event raised more than £300 and the organisers, Hampton Ferry Boathouse, hope to improve on that figure this year with luck and some good weather.

The mayors of Richmond and Elmbridge will visit during the day and at 3.30pm the Three Pubs River Race will be fought out between Hampton's three riverside watering holes.

Stands will show Swan Lifeline's work and games will keep children occupied.
