Three children were shot by a gunman who brought terror to a Kingsbury fairground on Tuesday lunchtime.

Armed police sealed off the area around Roe Green park off Kingsbury Road just after noon while they searched for the gunman.

The shots are believed to have come from a caravan that was parked near the fairground.

A 12-year-old boy was taken to Northwick Park Hospital with a pellet lodged between his eyes and a 13-year-old girl for a puncture wound to her neck.

Another 12-year-old boy was treated at the scene by ambulancemen for cuts to his back.

An air rifle and air pistol were recovered at the scene.

A 17-year-old of no fixed abode, who can not be named for legal reasons, appeared at Brent Youth Court yesterday (Wednesday) charged with grievous bodily harm and two counts of assault.
