Armed burglars held a bed and
breakfast resident at knifepoint in his room before fleeing with a video recorder.
The thieves managed to get into the B&B in Stanmore Road after knocking on the door and telling the landlord they had come to see a friend who was living there.
They waited on the landing until one of the residents, a 16-year-old teenager, opened the door of his room.
Forcing the youngster back into his room, one of the intruders held a knife to his throat while the other searched the room for valuables. They grabbed a Philips longplay video recorder worth £210 and fled.
The burglars were both black and aged about 25. One wore a blue Nike baseball cap, red T-shirt, black jeans, and black and yellow trainers. His accomplice wore a black and white leather jacket.
Anyone with information about the crime should ring DC Phil Holyoak at Tottenham police on 345 0744, or ring Crimestoppers
