A Borehamwood-based company has been short-listed for a Green Apple Award for its contribution to the protection of the environment.
Symphony Environmental, which is based in Maxwell Road, was short-listed for manufacturing refuse sacks which degrade in landfill sites. Final judging is to take place this summer and if the company wins it will be presented with a trophy plus tickets for an environmental study trip to Canada.
The prestigious awards, which aim to recognise environmental efforts made by companies all over the UK, are endorsed by many green organisations.
