Police are warning householders around Kenton and Kingsbury to make sure their garages are secure.
The alert follows a rash of nearly 30 break-ins to garages in just two nights.
On Monday night last week, 10 garages were broken into in Barn Way and Barn Rise, Kingsbury. Damage was caused and property taken, one resident losing golf clubs and a chainsaw.
On Sunday night, 19 garages were broken into at homes around Woodcock Dell, Kenton. Among the stolen items were a number of power tools.
Anyone with information which might help catch the thieves is asked to contact Wembley police station on 0181 903 1212.
