WE are writing to express our views on the proposed idea of the merging of Passmores and Stewards Schools. We think this is probably the worst thing that could happen to the schools.

We are in Year 9, which means that in the year 2000, when the schools would merge, we will be totally affected. We will be sitting our GCSEs at that time.

The disruption might affect our results, meaning 11 years of our education will have been wasted and we will not be able to pursue our chosen careers.

Passmores School is rapidly growing in popularity as our Year 7 intake number has increased dramatically over the last several years.

We were deliberately made into Harlow's smallest school a few years ago, when a section of our school was sold to social services.

This has contributed towards our popularity as many parents would rather have their child attend a smaller school.

We think there must be other ways of filling the spaces and still save money, and we hope these will be considered.

We don't want our education ruined, so please, please, think again.
