A KEY weapon in the fight for business success is effective marketing.

Every business owner wants to improve marketing, but the cost of specialist advice and training can be off-putting.

The Business Advisory Service is trying to get round that by offering two seminars over the coming weeks for the benefit of small business owners. Sponsored by the Bexley and Dartford Group of Barclays Bank, the seminars will be held on Friday, July 3, and Monday, July 27.

Jeff Wickett, business manager of Barclays at Bexleyheath, sees the seminars as essential. "I have attended one of the seminars myself," he said. "There is nothing but good feedback from the attendees and I would urge all small businesses to go along and make use of the expertise available, especially since the seminar eliminates the cost barrier."
