Wealdstone are the best supported local football club, figures just released have revealed.

The Stones' average home attendance in the Ryman League (Division Two) last season was 377.

There were 13 gates of 500 or over in that Division, and Wealdstone featured in eight of these.

Locally, only Premier Division side Boreham Wood came within striking distance of Wealdstone's attendances, averaging 357 for the home matches, with Hendon managing 328, Harrow Boro 272, Yeading 196, Northwood 168 and Edgware 147. Figures for Wembley and Kingsbury are not available.

Wealdstone provided the best home league crowd at 13 of the 21 grounds they visited, and the second best at four others.

Goalkeeper Andy Carter is Edgware Town's Player of the Year. A model of consistency, Carter, who produced several spectacular displays, was a popular choice among the supporters.

Steve Hurd is Players' Player of the Year, and Lee Smart was Jock McGleish's Manager's Player of the Year.

Steve Newing, who has succeeded McGleish in the role of player-manager, collected the Top Scorers' Trophy from new chairman Leon Godfrey.

Reserve team Players' Player of the Year is Dave Makamian, and the Manager's Player of the Year is Glen Parry, with Paul Moran taking the Top Scorers Trophy.
