Starlight 196-4

Harrow 96-5

Harrow had a draw snatched from their grasp by the weather in Sunday's friendly with local rivals Starlight.

Starlight, who batted first, started well hitting the ball to all parts of the Paynes Folly ground to make 196-4. Fitzroy was in particularly fine form for the visitors with 106 not out

Paul Stewart with 2-46 was the only Harrow bowler to show any real form.

Harrow were given no chance to bat on a heavy slow wicket as the weather deteriorated and just stayed at the crease with Steve Clarke on 26, and Paul Stewart (20) their main scorers.

When rain washed out the game with 40 overs remaining Harrow were left needing another 101 runs for victory but had five wickets intact.
