MP's snakes and ladders
Vince Cable was one of seven MPs to take part in a giant version of snakes and ladders outside the House of Commons on Wednesday. The Twickenham MP is supporting the call by the charity Oxfam for a restrictive European code of conduct on arms sales.Three Oxfam cyclists also set off from the event on the first leg of their relay to deliver pledge cards to the June European Summit in Cardiff.

Richmond milkmen from Express Dairies are delivering more than the usual pinta to their customers - the chance to win a sunshine holiday in Barbados. Until Friday, June 5, milk bottle tops will be printed underneath with the name of one of 30 holiday destinations. Collecting the tops could lead to the holiday prize.
Tuneful summer
June summer evenings will be given over to a series of musical events at Teddington Baptist Church. Each event will be accompanied by a high quality art exhibition in the church hall. It starts with Bryn Haworth on Saturday, June 6. He has recorded with top artists including Chris de Burgh.
