Barnet need three points from their last home game against Mansfield on Saturday to guarantee a place in the Third Division play-offs, but manager John Still is faced with problems.

Paul Wilson starts a three-match suspension, a one-game ban means that Lee Howarth won't be facing his former club, and his fellow central defender Mick Basham is doubtful after being stretchered off with a groin injury on Saturday.

Wilson is taking advantage of his enforced break to undergo an operation on a troublesome knee. He will miss the final league match at Rochdale, but if Barnet contest the play-offs, he hopes to be fit for the return leg of the semi-final.

Basham hoped to resume training yesterday (Wednesday) in his battle to get fit for Saturday's crucial match.

"Goals are very important, and if we get in front we need to boost our tally," said Barnet's assistant manager Mick Halsall. "It's all about ourselves and what we can achieve. We need to be very positive."

Halsall also stressed the importance of the crowd getting behind the Bees. "It'll be worth at least a goal to us -- they were magnificent against Scarborough, and hopefully they will be again."
