Tony's off to World Cup

A Purley man has scooped two tickets to see England in the World Cup after buying a chocolate bar.

Anthony Clancey, from Brighton Road, Purley, won the all-expenses-paid prize to see England play Colombia, by buying a winning Snickers bar.

Japanese visit

Twenty-five Japanese boys and staff are visiting Croydon as part of an exchange with Whitgift School.

The group is from Whitgift's sister school, the Urawa Senior High School in Tokyo.

Coloma reunion

Birds talks on

The Croydon RSPB group meets on Monday, April 6, with a talk on Moroccan birds.

The meetings, are at St Peter's Hall, Ledbury Road, South Croydon, at 2pm, and at 8pm at St Peter's Church, St Peter's Road.
