Five people charged with falsely imprisoning and assaulting a pensioner in their care appeared at Harrow Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The five all worked at Chesnut Cottage Residential Home in Church Lane, Pinner, which was was closed by Harrow Council in January following a routine inspection.

The charges against one of the defendants, the home's owner Gemma Greenhough, 50, were dropped after magistrates were told she had received a caution from the police.

The four others, David Greenhough, 22, who lived at the home; Katarzyna Gorzak, 20, of Brook Drive, North Harrow; Grazyna Stepien, 21, of Furham Fields, Hatch End, and Margaret Ellen Moran, 46, of The Broadwalk, North Harrow, were all bailed to appear again on March 27.
