Suffolk Youth 2
Broxbourne Rangers 0
Rural Premier League U10s
Suffolk Youth were good value for a 2-0 win over Broxbourne, thanks to two first-half strikes.
Suffolk bombarded their opponents early on but despite constant pressure they had to wait a while before finding the back of the net.
Danny Woolveridge fed Danny Fitzgerald, who jinked inside to hit a shot the keeper held on the line.
Then Greg Morgan's long shot was turned on to the post and Jamie Hazell shot into the side netting.
The breakthrough came from Morgan after a neat pass from Ross Hanley.
More chances were missed before Hanley turned goalscorer after fine work from Danny Byfield.
Broxbourne came back into the match late on, and defenders Lloyd Pelling, Kurt Crowhurst and Niall Hardiman, had to be quick off the mark to keep them in check.
Suffolk conceded a penalty but Kevin Marshall pulled off a fine save to keep a clean sheet.
